The TAYLOR Principal and Topple.
In short the Taylor Principal says the nominal interest rate must counteract greater than one-for-one to changes in the inflation rate to deliver a stable market. The Topple game challenges one to allocate the over-weighting of risk in order to score points. (Outperform the liabilities on a portfolio or battle to maintain a lifestyle)
Today’s market says we must heavily overweight risk to earn greater than the inflation rate one experiences.
Sounds like a game of Topple to me.
Where may I allocate assets for a constant purchasing power? Corp. IOU’s paying 2.5% or ETF’s with 80% B rated credits paying 5%?
Standard deviation is one way to describe and overweighting of the acceptance of risk.
